Ok, technically this is eye (singular) but I really wanted to get a reflection in there and I can only do that by getting up close and personal :P

This one was pure luck. I had been thinking about this photo all day. I even tried a few times to get one but they didn't work. Then I saw the sunset out of Rheya's window and ran to get my camera so I could get the sunset picture and noticed it was perfect for a silhouette picture too. I didn't want to submit the same photo for both challenges so I went out the front of my house (the sunset pic was taken from Rheya's window at the back of my house) and the picture up my street was nice.

I got 2, neither are very good, but they're the best I could do from my house. I can't really leave the house to take pictures at sunset, since that's the girls' bedtime.

Daniel found 3 caterpillars on the tree he won in a charity run. I HAD to get my camera out for them.

This book brings back so many memories. I read this over and over as a child. I loved the illustrations, particularly I loved the green dress the little mermaid wore when she gets taken back to the palace by the prince.

I remember being disappointed by the Disney version of this story, when they changed the ending so it fitted in with their "happily ever after" obsession.

I'm reading this book to Rheya at the moment. I wanted her to appreciate the original story line as I did, and being an art fan like me, I thought she might also appreciate the mute (in comparison to Disney), but detailed, illustrations....she does by the way.

Ok, I know I've skipped over a childhood memory but I'm struggling to think of something inspiring. I will do it eventually.

For now, here is my something blue.

Another predictable photo. I couldn't bare to choose one over the other, so you're getting them both.

I had a better photo in mind, but I haven't seen the person this week. I may redo this topic.

I should point out that my daughter doesn't actually bite her toenails, this was totally staged.

I got a bit carried away with this challenge, because we went walking and there was lots of photo opportunities.

I might redo this theme because there are so many things I can think of to take pictures of, I just haven't been near any of them today.

Ok onto the pictures (yes plural, I couldn't decide which one to use)....I'll start with the predictable one...looking down on a person. I really wanted to be a bit more original, but hey ho.

and then the boring one... looking down the stairs

I wanted to do something besides the obvious (i.e. plants, grass, trees) and saw my sewing machine sat beside me with a green cotton reel on it. It just seemed to sum me up perfectly so here is my something green

I'll leave my original one here though....

Ok I'm having to cheat today because the sky is just one big cloud, as in, if I took a picture you'd see nothing but white. I'll do this challenge properly another day when there is more to take a picture of. For now I'm using a picture I took at Center Parcs last month.

I really wasn't inspired by today's challenge, so apologies for the crap photo

I have to say, I really didn't enjoy this challenge. I love taking photo's but don't really like how I look in them so tend to be the one behind the camera, not in front.

I shot this in black and white to disguise my grey hairs...haha

What could be better than a good book (and it really is a good book) and some knitting?
